ICYMI, this is the same law #FDR used to send #Americans of #Japanese ancestry to #concentration camps as an excuse to loot their land and property. Does anyone know the IP address at #Manzanar bc that's prob where I'll soon be logging in.

Alright, I'm often critical of Japanese authorities (with reason) so I need to also underline when they do the right thing. And they are for once. Japan is officially dropping the "kunrei shiki" way of transcribing their language into Roman alphabet to officially adapt the Hepburn system.
Let me explain in a small thread if you're not familiar with the whole thing.
In my 2 decades enjoyment of kaiseki cuisine, I've never heard of FP!
23 food poisoned at #Japanese #restaurant in 1st 3 days post-reopening after 33 prior cases "occurred at Japanese eatery #Kiichi in #Osaka Pref where #foodpoisoning was discovered among 33 customers who ate #kaiseki or catered boxed meals in mid-Feb. However, on the 1st day of its reopening, diners once again suffered #food poisoning.. recent cases were caused by the kaiseki meal served btw Feb 22-24"

@MaryAustinBooks Great point. That's prob why I feel we've passed the tipping point. My Grandmother arrived on a boat and it's doubtful I can prove she was documented. Americans of #Japanese descent have already been incarcerated w/o due process. This time, I don't plan to submit quietly to be shipped off to a #concentrationcamp without a fight.
I was back in Honjo, in Tokyo, a few hours ago, to visit a new exhibition about the game PARANORMASIGHT. Good stuff and short video here:: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PVAr5mjF6DM

@colinpurrington Great achievement! I worked on learning German for a year and a half, and then spent 10 months in Berlin. It really helped make my time there feel more immersive. Now I am learning Japanese and I am finding it extremely difficult. But good brain exercise!

葉の様子を蓮座に見立て名がついています。花の盛りは春ですが、私の住む地域では一年中花を見ることができ、畑や道端に普通に生えています。
