Amazing set tonight by Brooklyn Raga Massive, playing the music of the Mahavishnu Orchestra at Culture Lab in Long Island City. My old friend and bandmate Dan Asher locked it DOWN on bass.

The great #mahavishnu #JohnMcLaughlin turned 81 this week. Among the myriad incredible performances this one has always stood out to me. I kept my VHS recording of it for decades. After retiring I recall Ed Shaughnessy saying this was one of his personal career highlights. Remarkably this month he begins his tour celebrating #Shakti’s 50th anniversary.
