Anyone else distracted by the awful music supervision in #Netflix1899?
The White Rabbit title sequence is bad enough but ending each episode with a worn out classic rock track is a total vibe killer.
@theheatwarps new music in an old movie/tv show is a tough trick to pull off. Marie Antoinette & Knight's Tale pulled if off but I can't quite see a Western pulling it off. Westworld did a cool job by playing Radiohead on a player piano roll, now THAT was inspired.
@QueenCityJamz Westworld is a great example of how to pull off that juxtaposition. I also just finished Atlanta, which is pretty much the gold standard, so my expectations are high.
@theheatwarps finally went all-in w/Atlanta earlier this yr and I was BLOWN AWAY by how good it is.
I've watched way more tv than I'd care to admit, so I'm a skeptical mfer abt shows. Atlanta went beyond what I assumed it was.
